Zen attitude
Description
The artwork features a stylized representation of a female torso and upper body, depicted in a neutral palette with shades of beige, brown, and white. The figure is headless, with the neck ending just above where the head would begin, drawing attention to the body’s gestures. The figure’s arms are bent at the elbows, hands coming together in front of the chest in a gesture that may suggest contemplation or an offering.
Between the figure’s hands is a small stack of rounded stones, a typical symbol of Zen and balance. Just below this, at the center of the chest, there appears to be a shadow or opening shaped like a heart, suggesting a sense of openness or vulnerability. The form of the body is smooth with rounded edges, and the background is a flat, light shade that doesn’t distract from the subject.
The artwork appears to play with themes of serenity, balance, and the introspective nature of the human form. The simplicity of the composition, along with its thematic elements, evokes a sense of calm and reflection.
