Karel de Gendre — artist painter and photographer. Painting is his passion, photography his profession.

An entrepreneur at heart, Karel de Gendre is a hyperactive creator, motivated by a generous, swirling and positive energy. From his Russian origins, he has kept this Slavic soul that is both joyful and full of history.

An artist since always, Magritte, Dali, Manet, Vasarely, Eischer, Uwe Omer, Dingo are his masters, from their universes he drew the essentials in order to create his own. His pictorial works speak to us of repetition, surrealism, symbolic objects, and elliptical shapes.

As a photographer, he juggles with colors and rhythms. The street, the city, the ancient, the modern, the particular and the universal are elements with which he composes the impressions of a dazzling surreal reality. Full of meaning, the heightened image is an invitation to the world. He is an eternal traveler, he uses cities and their heritage as color palettes. The moment is then broken down, reprocessed, valued to give us a synthetic image of fluctuating emotions. It is through his eyes that we rediscover New York, London, Paris, Saint-Petersburg.

As a painter, he sketches constantly, purifying and searching for the exact image that will synthesize his prolix imagination. He uses sketching to create dreamlike and luminous pictorial works using primary colors. Love is her favorite theme, universal, passionate, feminine, essential love.

This love of art and artists led him to create his own gallery. Gallery Number 1, known as the small gallery of Great Talents, allows it to bring together actors of contemporary creation, emerging or recognized. They find with Karel a listening and an experience beneficial to their readability.
